LatinoHiphop.Info - The Concept pt. 2

Going a little more in depth about the beta launch of LatinoHiphop.Info;

When it launches in beta it will be populated by well known artist's.

But once it's launched I'd would like for artist's from around Latin America to be able to add themselves and populate their profiles however they like.

The categories I am currently considering is MC's, DJ's, Producer's and Other.

Along with these categories I would also like for artist's to be sorted by country.

What do you think?

Any suggestions?

Wishing you continued success!

LatinoHiphop.Info - The Concept

Latino Hip-Hop needs a database.

A place where you can find DJ's in Peru.

Producer's in Costa Rica.

And Emcee's in Uruguay.

Mainstream Hip-Hop has www.hiphop-directory.com.

Latino Hip-Hop is going to have LatinoHiphop.Info.

This project is currently in the works, expect it to come out in beta during early 2010.

Wishing you continued success!

Kemo the Blaxican

As Delinquent Habits’ only Spanish-fluent MC, Kemo spent twelve years with the group, releasing four albums and taking the Delinquent sound beyond borders and around the world. In 1996 the group struck gold with their very first single “Tres Delinquentes”, a song that masterfully fused a traditional mariachi sound (courtesy of Herb Alpert’s “Lonely Bull”) with the raw hip-hop backdrop of the streets. The sound was a breath of fresh air in a stale rap scene, and opened a new creative doorway into which many other Latin hip hop acts would follow, including Control Machete, Pitbull, Akwid, and Crooked Stilo.

Four Delinquent Habits albums later – after countless tours around the globe including the UK, Europe, Japan, South America, Mexico and Taiwan – Kemo decided to leave the group in 2004 and embarked upon his solo career. The move allowed him to record ‘Simple Plan,’ the solo album that many DH fans had been asking of Kemo for several years. Risky but necessary, Kemo walked away having played a major role in solidifying Delinquent Habits as one of the most influential Latin hip-hop groups of all time and establishing himself as one of today’s top Latino MC’s.

Just Chill

Something that I find interesting is how many people get so easily frustrated.

These people allow the smallest things to make them flip out.

Why?

At what point did they learn that getting bent out of shape was effective.

Soft skills.

Emotional Intelligence.

Timing.

This is what truly gets you ahead.

Learn how to be socially adept, it's truly worth it's weight in gold.

And for all you crazies out there, just chill.

Wishing you continued success*

Principals To Live By

I have "PRHD" written in lots of places I frequently look at:

I have it written in emails, notes on my iPhone, as the heading of various Google Docs.

I've placed this little acronym that I've created in many places so that I can continually be reminded of the values that they represent to me.

This acronym stands for:

Purpose

Relationship

Health

Dollars

I have identified those four areas as the areas most critical to my happiness.

If I am pursuing what I have established as my purpose then the ups and downs of life are not as bad.

If my relationship with my wife and other loved ones is strong then I am happy.

If I'm in good health, I in turn look and feel great.

If my economic reality is strong, stable and abundant enough for me to pursue my ambitions I am again....as happy as I can be.

Evolution

Change is inevitable.

Your either embrace it immediately, slowly adopt, or take a firm stance that you are not going to change.

The big question is whether or not the change ocurring is a good one.

Change or standing firm in the old ways has no particular virtue.

It's the ability to be able to spot a good idea or to observe positive results and use them as a personal catalyst to embracing new ideas that holds all the virtue in the world.

Step By Step

Take any goal you have and break it into 10 parts.

(If it's a very big goal break it into 15)

Now that you've identified the most fundamental parts, only focus on one phase at a time.

This is the secret that every great industrialist and creator has used to create there master pieces.

Ownership

When you are told to do something and have no personal stake in it, you will normally only do so much.

We are quite clever and quickly figure out how much we have to do to just get by, and that's what we do.

But when we have a personal stake in a project, everything changes.

You care.

When you care about something it shows, personally you feel it, and other people notice.

If you want to be successful, create things that other people can also have ownership of.
